Summary of Qualifications

Michelle Despres, PT, CEAS II, is the Vice President and National Product Leader at Align Networks, a division of One Call Care Management, a leading organization in physical medicine for workers’ compensation. In her role, Michelle serves as a clinical liaison among payers, providers, and Align’s internal teams, helping to strategize to continually improve return-to-work results. She helps customers understand how Align can fulfill all of their physical medicine needs with clinical excellence and care coordination efficiency. Having worked as a PT, Michelle also provides customers with a clinical perspective on their PT claims performance, and delivers CEU training to their claims staff on many PT, ergonomics, and rehabilitation topics. 

Responsibilities

Michelle serves as a liaison between Align Networks’ clinical operations, sales, and the One Call Care Management family, as well as payors and providers.

Nationally, Michelle provides continuing education credit seminars to payors and providers as well as mentors clinicians nationwide to improve their delivery of treatments and services to maximize return-to-work outcomes. She has been a trainer/educator for Advanced Ergonomics, Inc. and the Northeast Florida Safety Council.

Business Experience

Since graduating from Florida A & M University in 1998, Michelle has dedicated her practice of physical therapy largely to the Workers’ Compensation patient population. Program development for the injured worker population includes on-site services, FCE’s, work hardening, work conditioning, post-offer employment testing, employer-based initiatives, and ergonomic assessments.

She has presented at RIMS, APTA Combined Sections Meeting, and other state/regional/national conferences. Her work has been published in several workers’ compensation publications.
